What on your vanity?
10 products I could not live with out this season:
1. It's A 10 Miracle Leave In I got this leave in to replace my Paul Mitchell one. I was a little skeptical at first because it was on sale and I had never heard of the brand before. But I must be behind the beauty curve because I think I love it more! It was much less expensive, the bottle it comes in is a spray so it's cleaner and my hands don't get completely covered in goo. It doesn't make my hair as wet either and it gives it a shiny smooth texture. It keeps my hair really well hydrated too, which is especially important in winter since my hair tends to get dry and staticy very quickly, especially when if I blow dry it, which is always. All 10 products come in 3 sizes which make them great to travel with, although I haven't tried any of their other products, yet.
2. Clinique Moisturizer This moisturizer is great, you can use it for morning and night and it leaves your skin feeling fresh, I was having major dry skin issues and then I started using this and they all went away! I just use it at night, only because it has salicylic acid in it and can to harsh for my skin for twice a day usage. And it's fragrance free! If your into that sort of thing...
3. Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner So I'm not exactly sure what the pros and cons are of an alcohol-free toner I just know that I can't put alcohol directly on my face. It's not like medical thing I just can't stand the smell and I feel like I'm killing my precious skin cells. So I was really thrilled when I found this one, even if it is just a drugstore brand, don't underestimate it. I love Neutrogena, I've been using their products for years and think they're great!
This toner isn't great for clearing up acne, it might help and little but I haven't noticed a significant difference. It's great for evening out your complexion, tightening your skin, and really cleansing your pores. Plus it doesn't smell, sting, or leave you looking like burn victim. I had heard great things about Clinique's Toner so of course I tried it but it made my whole face red and peel, it was awful. So after just a few weeks I was back to this one. It just goes to show that one product isn't the best. Different things work for different people and there are a million skin types out there, not just your basic four. So it can take a while to find what works best for you, I'm definitely still looking.
5. Moroccan Oil Since I often abuse the shit out of my hair it's important that I at least try to keep it healthy and for that I turn to my long-time friend Miss. Moroccan oil whose magical healing powers keep my ends from fraying and give my hair that extra bit of shine and looseness that looks great when doing the hair flip!
6. Bobbie Brown's Old Hollywood I finally got up the nerve this year to bit the bullet and try out the "red lip" look, and I am loving it! It look a while to find the right shade for me and this one if definitely it! I've been wearing my red lip everywhere it's become my new favorite winter accessory! I just brightens up any look and makes the rest of your makeup a breeze since you don't have to focus on the eyes and cheeks, it's just all about the lips! So even if this color isn't for you Bobbie Brown has tons of other shades and colors that are beautifully pigmented and long lasting. I'm not a big lip stick wearer so when I buy them I like to stick with well known brands and this one hasn't let me down yet! I definitely recommend it for anyone who is just starting to try out lipstick like I am or for someone who's looking to vamp up their look with a fun new trendy color (personally, I love Bare Pink and Guava!).
