Packing: New York City

packing:new york

My trip this weekend included seeing lots of friends, visiting schools and museums, checking out art galleries, markets, and of course doing a bit of shopping. So I wanted casual clothes that I would feel cool in while walking the busy streets of NYC and still feel stylish.

I'm relying on a good basic striped tee, a nice lace blouse, and a chambray to do lots of layering. I brought  my green army jacket for the day and a leather moto jacket for night. A simple white dress that can dresses down ( chambray+ chelsea boots) or up ( heels + leather), a day lip color and a bold red should the mood strike me. I also brought two small cross body bags a brown one and a black one to go with whichever shoes I'm wearing, slightly unnecessary I know but hey I wouldn't be a girl if i didn't over pack...right? Jewelry I kept very simple, just a few bracelets for arm candy,  some simple, stackable rings, one statement necklace, and one long pendant one, and one pair of earrings for evenings. Top everything off with classic sunglasses and a clean crisp scent for fall and you are city ready!
