Today is the most traveled day in the United States and I hope everyone is having a safe and pleasant journey weather it's but bus, train, car, or plane. I've done lots of posts before about packing and carry-on essentials for when you're riding sky high but what about when you're flying on the ground?
Traveling by train you have a little more room to move and don't feel so confined. Although it often takes longer than a plane I find it's usually about the same as driving.
My train travel essentials include…
- A hot beverage to enjoy on the ride
- Some cookies or biscuits to go with said drink
- A large scarf or small blanket to get cozy with or roll up into a pillow, especially good for longer journeys.
- Music and headphones to listen to while watching the scenery roll by
- Slippers that are stylish and comfortable
- Glasses, if you're like me and hate wearing contacts when I have a long day of travel
- A good reading book and a deck of cards to pass the time
